Every year in late April grown men who have jobs, mortgages, kids and other responsibilities spend hours watching a televised job fair. The job fair is NFL draft! It’s fine to watch follow football, but to watch which player gets picked up!? When you got a job selling cars, or working in a cubicle farm, there was no television cameras, no buzz. A job was offered and you accepted. That’s the NFL draft in a nutshell.
Of course fans already forgot about how the NFL hates them. Blackout of out of market teams, streaming services, $20-$40 a month for the NFL, PSL’s, Super Bowl halftime shows with performers who hate America, the “End Racism” slogans everywhere, taking a knee, the “Black National Anthem,” the Rooney Rule where a man of color has to be considered for a coaching job? If 75 Radio ran a team and were looking for a coach and the candidates were Tony Dungy, Lovie Smith, Mike Tomlin and Rich Kotite, guess who’s not being considered.
While your chugging beer wondering who got drafted by whom, home ownership is down, America is 38 trillion in debt, Social Security is broke, Iran is a mess, credit card debt is out of control, people are graduating college with worthless degrees, our cities have become war zones, everything in America is falling apart, and some 18 year old kid who can barely read is about to become a multimillionaire!
