Recently, the US suffered through a logistical nightmare, where lines were long, and supplies, patience and tempers were getting shorter and shorter. Literal fist fights were breaking out. Employees at the businesses were getting attacked. And the media was in overdrive covering the story.
Meanwhile Florida dodged a bullet as Hurricane Dorian went up the coast.
The first excerpt was about Popeye’s Chicken sandwich. People were losing their God Damn minds over a chicken sandwich from a fast food chain. Grant it, it was a new product, but this being America chicken sandwiches are sold at McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s Chick Fil A, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and other local and regional outlets. Buuuuuuut people had to chimp out and go hog wild over a chicken fucking sandwich! If you look at the picture of the sammich (as JB Gunner calls them) it doesn’t look that appealing.
But; look at the clientele at Popeye’s. Popeye’s is the third most ghetto fast food chain, behind Church’s Fried Chicken and White Castle. And I love White Castle. You know your at a ghetto fast food joint when they have no healthy options. Ask Popeye’s for a salad and see what they say!
You don’t see these people lining up at Home Depot at 5am looking for work. You did see these people outside the New Orleans Convention Center in 2005 waiting for the government to help these able bodied adults! This is the entitlement generation.
