There was not one, but TWO incidents of cops from the NYPD (I refuse to call them New York’s Finest) where the mopes throw water on officers. One incident was in Harlem, the second was in Brooklyn. The first clip cops were putting someone in custody, and they had water thrown on them.The second incident in Brooklyn I am not sure what was going on, but the cops were just pelted with water.
We don’t usually Monday morning quarterback with police tactics, usually to explain officers correct actions, but this one takes the cake. The first incident, The cops kept their hands on the perp. But no contact and cover, and I did not see a radio pulled for a 10-85. The second situation, it was like the cops just gave up. No defensive stance, no cover or concealment, no weapons drawn, no radio for help. The cops had thier back turn. The cops were bitches! In my training in law enforcement, I was taught to never give up. Don’t let the bad guy get the upper hand, Don’t get in a situation you can’t get out of. Go home at the end of the night. Most situations cops get into usually go from zero to shit in no time. But there is still lots of blame to go around.
First the cops. First and foremost, they are human beings. Second, they are men. Cop or no cop, they are still men. Nobody should throw water on you and get away with it, especially if you are an authority figure. Fuck the media, fuck the cameras, fuck the Mayor, fuck the Commissioner, fuck everyone. Officer Darren Wilson is still alive because he did not give up the fight! Secondly, did anyone see an officer pull out a radio and call a 10-13 or a 10-85? If these cops took one into custody or pointed a gun, the problem would stop.
Next the Police Academy. I have learned in stressful situations, your motor skills go to shit, and you go to what your brain has been trained to do. This is called muscle memory. Your mind and body react based on its subconscious. Obviously these officers either were sleeping or it wasn’t taught. The NYPD have got to give their cops the proper training to prevent officer injuries or death, Cops have useful tools on their gun belt besides the gun. Baton, taser, pepper spray, and even the radio! Enough with Community Policing and diversity training!
Mayor de Blasio. This man hates cops! From telling his son that cops will kill you because of his skin color to stopping Stop and Frisk. Since de Blasio became Mayor 6 cops were murdered and 4 cops killed themselves! Mayor de Blasio has not given the police department a decent contract, and has done nothing to back his cops up.
Police Commissioner O’Neill: One of the sorriest Police Commissioner’s in department history. While cops were eating their guns, O’Neill was apologizing for Stonewall! O’Neill has the power to change the Patrol Guide (SOP’s) improve tactics in training, and make officer safety priority number one! The memo released concerning these attacks was pitiful. But The Commissioner is following directions from the Mayor. O’Neill is not a cops cop, unlike Brattorn, Safir and Kelly.
The media. Yes the media. The media hates the police. With Eric Garner, the media is always looking to shit on the cops. Add the fact that everyone has a phone at the ready to a Rodney King moment, cops are scared for their jobs for allegations of police brutality, either real or imagined. They don’t to be Darren Wilson or George Zimmerman. This is not only happening in New York, but all across the country.
