This past Sunday the host with the most Luciano De La Torre threw another epic party. But every party he throws is epic! Invited to the party is the 75 Radio DC Crew a/k/a the DC Power Trio! And if two or more members of the 75 Radio family shows up at an event, its a 75 Radio sanctioned event!
It was a Super Bowl/Galentines Day party. Men were encouraged to wear sports jerseys and the ladies were encouraged to wear appropriate dresses! The game was on three televisions, music bumping and the ladies looked amazing! Afshin Photography was also there taking amazing pictures.
I wanted a pic of me, Dani and Ed in the worst way! And the photo is US! Ed is wearing his jersey with matching pants and jacket looking dapped and being the life of the party that he is He’s also pointing to Dani. That’s his trademark. Shift direction to the person he’s with. . Dania is standing between us looking absolutely beautiful (as always) confident and driven. She’s also standing a few inches in front of me and Ed leading us! You go boss lady! Then there’s me. At a Super Bowl party I wear a hockey jersey (same one from last year) from an out of market team. For footwear I am wearing Tasmanian Devil slippers with a Jack and Coke in my hand! For that I say: “This is Seven Five Radio!” And I wouldn’t change a thing!
The other picture I wanted is us with Luciano. Not only is Luciano one of the nicest, most hospitable and funniest people I ever met, but it was at his parties that we did our best show including bringing Dani on. Also in the pic Ed was pointing to the letter “E” in love! I prefer the letter “F” for obvious reasons. Ed was our Field Producer before he became our Field Producer! And I’m showing off my footwear!
The ladies looked amazing, the food was awesome! I was standing at a table and Danila walked up to me and asked if I ate. This is why we love her. Always looking out for others! Of course I ate. The USS Laboon’s (DDG-58) Repair Division’s motto of “Gotta feed the fat kids” still applies! The door opens and I yell “I’m next!” Went in and did my business! I even washed my hands!
I like taking pics on my phone of things that happen in real time. The lovely lady, Mirian Torrez (above) was taking selfies. I asked if I could take her picture of herself taking a pic! She said yes and thank you!
In this pic Ed had flowers for both the men and the ladies. Of course I had no one to give my rose to! I clowned Ed telling him that I knew that the real estate market was tight, but I didn’t think it was that bad! Ed was in producer mode at the party, even though there’s no radio! Ed got the champagne, flowers, passed everything out and gave a speech!
The food was great, Elvis did a great job with the drinks, the music was not my bag (no Allman Brothers Band) the game was who cares!? I want to thank Luciano for inviting me every time. Ed and Dani for putting up with me and being part of the best part of my life, and everyone else who I consider family.
2025 was another banner year for 75 Radio! The picture above says it all. Scoop was a car wreck while Danila looked absolutely amazing as usual! Unlike most other shows we are exactly the same on air as off air. And some of the things we do off air are more incredible than our broadcast, but unfortunately the events didn’t occur at 10pm on Saturday night! Here’s the top 10 events for the 75 Radio family!
10. Army 250: Scoop attends the Army 250 parade on Constitution Ave NW. Got to see the POTUS, SECWAR and the world got to see that the American fighting man is back!
9. MAHA Inaugural Ball: January 19 Scoop got to attend an inaugural ball! He met a whole bunch of great people. Six Whiskey Revival killed with “Whipping Post.” And of course, Scoop ruined the evening by dancing!
8. Mike on No BS News February 12: Charlie LeDuff and Mike dug in deep on crime statistics. We were the only outlets talking about it before everyone else! And the show broadcast on Ray Manzarek’s birthday to boot!
7. We broke the real reason the inauguration was in the Capitol Building! On our January 18 show Mike and John Stubbins did some digging on why the inauguration was being held indoors. We were told it was bad weather was the reason. It was something completely different!
6. CPAC 2025: This was the best CPAC ever. Scoop met so many awesome people. Again, it wasn’t the people on stage with the exception of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. But he finally met Christopher Martini face to face, Barry Morganstein, Shelly Morganstein, Rob O’Donnell, Ian Trottier, John Donovan, John Shattuck and many from the gang in DC. He also went to after party with Under the Covers. And the “after party” consisting of himself, a bag of popcorn and television. And as usual, he had to do the show outside, looking like a bum!
5. Charlie Kirk Prayer Vigil September 14: We had an icon taken from us too soon. Alessandra Griffitt invited Scoop to a Prayer Vigil at the Kennedy Center. Scoop was reluctant at first, but one of his daughters watched Charlie Kirk before he was taken from us. So he went and by the grace of God he was able to squeeze in. The organizers should have held it at the Capital One arena. House Speaker Mike Johnson, RFK Jr, Karoline Leavitt, and DNI Tulsi Gabbard where there. Scoop told my daughter she’s in the same room as some of the most powerful people in America. This prayer vigil was better than church!
4. Mother Stanton called home to the Lord June-July: 75 Radio was started as a radio show. It became a family that talks to the world one hour a week. Scoop was fortunate enough to say goodbye to his mother two days before she passed. He texted everyone in the family and the love and support he received was overwhelming and heartwarming. He drove back to DC for a 4th of July party at Luciano De La Torre’s house. He didn’t go simply because it was another awesome lavish party. He went to see Danila and Ed Huebner for their love and comfort. Again; family! And mom’s service, it was a 75 Radio funeral. It was a Catholic funeral in a Catholic mass. Mom was not Catholic! Father Stanton who was going through some issues wore Scoop’s pants! As Mother Stanton was being wheeled mom out of the church the fire alarm went off!
3. Danila meets Scoop’s family August 9-10: Scoop pesters everyone in DC to go to Yhaundasis, NY. He bugged poor Danila once again and to our utter and complete shock, she said yes! It was probably a condition of her community service! They stop at the local hospital to meet Scoop’s father who was going through some issues. This particular hospital has nothing but wall to wall dirtbags! And here comes this gorgeous blonde bombshell with another dirtbag (Scoop). Dad and Dani hit it off immediately. Scoop’s brother Schreck was flabbergasted that poor Dani came up with Scoop. They went out on the family’s boat and went to a place called the sandbar where boats anchor and people party and Dani was the hottest girl there by a mile! The few ladies up there look more like the Stanton brothers than Danila. Heading into the dock, Dani wanted to take some selfies as the lighting and scenery was perfect. At this moment Scoop knew how the sound engineer for Beggar’s Banquet or Physical Graffiti felt as he was watching Danila take those selfies! The 75 Radio moment of the weekend came when the family dog tore up one of Dani’s shoes!
2. Birthday Show Nov 22: This was one for the books! Walter and Scoop have birthdays five days apart. Scoop notifies the Hotel Heron in Alexandria, VA he was coming, had a room, have 20 people coming and will be doing radio! They welcomed him like he was the pope! Ed Huebner calls Scoop and says he’s wearing his tuxedo, vest, tie, bowler hat and no shirt! Scoop didn’t even bat an eye. Scoop changed up his outfit. Instead of the dark suit with the Rolling Stones tie, he wore a dark suit with a Led Zeppelin tie! Everything was going perfect. Until they went live. For whatever reason the receptionist said Scoop needed to sign a waiver! Which we were willing to do so! So we enlisted Ed Huebner to raise some hell. The show is still going on and Scoop sucked poor mild-mannered Brian Sussman into our black hole to find a room quick! And he did. As soon as we come back from commercials, the lovely Dani is about to come on and we get shut down again! Brian became Luca Brazzi and was giving the hotel management shit! Were in a dark room, the show is going on and what do I do? Take photos with Dani as Field Producer extraordinaire Ed Huebner got us a photographer! As Walter and Mike are doing great, Scoop brings people on the show in the middle of a segment! One lady wished Scoop a happy birthday and hoped that he lives the rest of his life with his true love so she can change his “motherfucking diaper!”
1. January 4th Show: Scoop attend a Chinese New Year’s Party. Charlie LeDuff comes on to join us. The premise would be the top 10 events for 75 Radio then the top 10 insults thrown at Scoop. Scoop introduces Charlie who immediately asks: “Do we start ripping you now!?” It was a full hour of unscripted and unrehearsed insults! It was our second best show ever!
And 2026 is off to a great start! Scoop went to a New Year’s party and this time left with his pants on! Danila has some big changes for DR Wellness and Aesthetics starting January 5th! 2026 also has the Mid-Term elections and Zohran Mamdani assembled the Legion of Doom for his inauguration! And this Saturday, January 3rd we will going through the top 10 events of 2025 and the top 10 insults hurled at Scoop Stanton. Scoop claims that he gets the business because everyone is jealous of him! No they are not!
In June of 2023 I attended a birthday party of our field producer and fried Ed Huebner. At the party there was an absolutely gorgeous woman that really stood out! I wondered if she was at the right place. So, me being suave and debonair, I did what I always do, text James Edwards! The young lady was at the right place! Towards the end of the party I was doing 75 Radio and our future Field Producer Ed Huebner comes on with a group of fans (his). And after the show he introduced me to the lovely lady. Her name is Danila Rodrigues! Not only did was she absolutely beautiful, she had a great personality!
After the party Ed told me I had to attend the Fourth of July party at the home of Luciano De La Torre on July 1st. Ed was our Field Producer before he became our Field Producer. I said I was in. I get to the party and wow! It was like nothing I’ve been to before. Beautiful, classy people having a great time with tons of food and drink, and now: 75 Radio! The party was in full tilt and on the show we had myself, Walter, guest Mike Rakebrandt, and Charlie LeDuff! LeDuff was the insurance policy if the show bombed or I had to leave in a hurry. Towards the end of the show I had party guests come on to say what’s on their mind. I bring Danila on and not only does she look fabulous, but she sounds great on the radio!
Beauty and the car wreck!
This was our best show ever at the time. I reached out to Danila on Facebook and she didn’t block me. We chit chatted about stuff and then it hit me. We’re already a completely different show. Why not turn it up a notch and have a face for radio!? The old joke was one had a face for radio and voice for newsprint. Why not have a gorgeous woman for radio!? So I asked Danila if she wanted to be the Spokesmodel for 75 Radio. I forwarded the web address and some archives to let her know this is who we are. And she said: yes! I was floored! As much as I love the show and love Walter, we are something else!
So we would premiere her on October 28, 2023 at the Halloween party of Luciano De La Torre. Our July first show was such a hit when we did it remotely, why not do it again. I was nervous as can be. I still couldn’t believe it! She was joining 75 Radio! I wanted Charlie LeDuff to come on in case Dani bailed as she was half of that night’s show. 8:15 I’m walking out to call into The Political Cesspool for their 19th anniversary show! I turn the corner and…………………………………………………………….!!!!
WOW! We said hello and I wanted to take a selfie. I snapped it and it wasn’t that good. So she had to take it! This was the start of the long running “Not only do I harass the poor woman but I make her take the pic'” gag. I immediately sent it to everyone. And my phone started blowing up. I went on the Cesspool and I was winded and flustered of the event that just took place. After the Cesspool, Charlie LeDuff called and said: “Let me talk to her.” So do I tell Charlie now is not a good time, and to call back? No, this is 75 Radio! “Danila, my friend Charlie want to talk to you.” The poor woman took my phone and had a nice conversation with Charlie! LeDuff was in; hot damn!
10pm rolls around. My idea was that myself, Walter and Charlie would do our juvenile hijinks, jokes, insults and what not then at 10:30 bring on Danila for a “normal” show. I didn’t want her to be a one and done! The first half of the show was as expected. After the 10:30 news, I am nervous as I don’t know what. I can’t believe this is happening! Danila is sitting right next to me having a great time. After “Hole in the Sky” we are off and we have a nice, normal radio show for about 10 seconds as Charlie LeDuff is talking to the Brazilian lady in Spanish! And it goes downhill from there. Charlie asks Danila about the movie Blow because he watched it the night before. I’m already seeing Dani running to her car and smoking those Goodyear’s down the Beltway! I turn to Walter to get me out of this mess and Walter never disappoints. He asked Dani if she had any red lipstick. She did. I was holding my bated breath. “Put it in your pocket because Scoop might take it.” Danila had a great time, I was a hot mess! Two days later Danila was mentioned in Talkers Magazine!
Not only had Danila graced all of our archives and promotional material, but she does a bang-up job behind the microphone. On our March 15, 2024 show, we were at the home of Luciano De La Torre once again for St. Patrick’s Day. I was talking about St. Patrick and what American’s do for St. Patrick’s Day. Walter asked if I painted my nipples green! Now I’m pissed. Here we go again! “Walter I thought we were not going to talk about this, especially in front of company (Danila)” Without skipping a beat Dani replies “I don’t know why you’re saying that you were showing everyone at the party!” I replied: “Danila!” Right then and there I knew she was one of us!
For Danila’s one year anniversary she was at a Halloween party and only could make one segment. Walter couldn’t do the show as he was entertaining company during the World Series and Charlie LeDuff came on to wish Danila happy anniversary at the last segment! Say it with me: “This is 75 Radio.” One year in and Danila made Talkers Magazine again!
One thing Danila does have is a great sense of humor! Thank God! Some of the things we do are a little off the wall! When Elon Musk turned Twitter into X I needed to change the voiceover. I always mention that I look at Danila’s Instagram account at: danilarodrigues.model So we have Day of the Eagle playing and James Edwards saying:
I also pepper her with all sorts of nonsense via text that I think is funny! She should be glad she’s not Walter or Mike!
When were not burning up the airwaves, were at different events. Birthday parties, fundraisers and the such. Last November I attended the DC Glitz and Glamour Fashion Show fundraiser! And I told no one as I didn’t know who was going. Dani posted a pic on instagram and I texted her a photo of the venue! And she put me to work. I was the Official Photographer for the 75 Radio Spokesmodel! I gave thanks to the Lord for that one!
But I was also her dance partner afterwards! Let’s just say Dani knows how to cut a rug and I know how to stink up a joint! Dani probably cursed the Lord for that!
Besides a great radio persona and one of the most beautiful people on the planet, Danila has the biggest heart I have ever seen. Last year she came down to my other job to meet some of the ladies I just trained after working a very long shift at DR Wellness and Esthetics! And she had to cross the American Legion Bridge, twice! Not only did she meet these ladies for the very first time, she wore white for “White Shirt Day” that I made up at work! When my mother died, she showered me with love and empathy (as well as the rest of the family). And she took one for the team and went to Yhanundasis with me to meet the family. Dad was in the hospital and she and pops took a liking to each other immediately. She met Schreck Stanton was on his best behavior! The best moment was on dad’s boat. She took some real nice selfies! I now know how the sound engineer on “Beggars Banquet” felt when I was watching Dani! And of course everyone loved her! Dad’s dog loved her shoes! Sorry Dani!

Danila, on behalf of the entire 75 Radio family; thank you for what you have done. Not only for the radio show, but for myself. You have made me a better person. You made the world a better place. I can never repay you for what you have done for myself and the rest of the family. You are part of this family.
I am spending the week up near Yhanundasis, NY for a family vacation. Last night we got a phone call that my mother passed away. It was a bittersweet. For the past 13 months, we have been dealing with mom in a nursing home. And we have been dealing with other problems with my mother since COVID! Mom is in a better place because believe me, nobody wants to be in a nursing home!
Mom became a nurse which seems to be the family business. Many people on the Stanton family tree became a nurse. Mom also taught me hard work. From being a student in a rigorous nursing school to never taking a day off from work despite becoming injured the previous day. Mom also was responsible for my sense of humor! Mom also gave me a respect for nurses that everyone should adhere to. Its nurses that run the floor, not the doctors!
Despite losing mom, I do feel that I am still the luckiest man on God’s green Earth. It so happened I picked a particular weekend off for vacation. I saw mom on Saturday and I told her that I loved her and told her of another accomplishment that I will only share with the family. I was with the family when we got the call. I reached out to the 75 Radio family and everyone and I mean EV-ERY-ONE gave me nothing but love and support!
Everyone that I reached out to: Walter, Mike, Charlie, Ed, Alessandra, James Edwards and especially Danila gave me so much love I want to marry all of them at the same time!!!!! They asked me if I needed anything, to contact them at once. Anything! But I don’t need anything! These people have given me so much love and support, that I was in tears!
I can’t thank the 75 Radio family enough! When I say they are family…….they are family!!!!!

I had my kids this weekend. So Sunday after lunch with their aunt, I decided to take the kids on the Metro and head to Arlington Cemetery. For those who live in DC, Arlington is the small, upper class, tony suburban area next to DC. For the rest of America Arlington is the cemetery of heroes.
We went in the screening entrance area. the first stop was the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We were fortunate to watch the changing of the guard. I explained to my kids that the tomb is guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and those soldiers go through a selection process like no other.
The next stop was the grave of Major Audie Murphy. Murphy is the most decorated solider in US history. Murphy attempted to enlist in the Marines and was denied because of his height. The Army took him instead. And he kicked ass!
As you can see, some people still leave coins for Murphy as a sign of respect. I told my kids about the history of Murphy. Education and media are too busy praising people like George Floyd, Kim Kardashian and Bruce Jenner. I worked with one former soldier who was younger than myself had no idea who Murphy or Alvin York was!
Our final stop on our short visit was to the grave of President Kennedy.
I wanted to visit the Kennedy grave as I have a lot of respect for Kennedy. If Kennedy was alive today he would be to the right of Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan.
Our visit was way too short and I will bring my kids back once again to visit the final resting place of American heroes. Kudos to all the tourists who showed dignity and respect for the fallen.
