Crossing guard selling crack!

We wish this was fake news, but it’s not. A crossing guard in Washington, DC was arrested for selling drugs from her car at work!

If you want to sell drugs, sell drugs. If you want to be a crossing guard, be a crossing guard. But don’t do both. We know the type of people who purchase crack and trust us they should not be around children. But these kids not only need the help of the crossing guard, but they look up to these people!

Athletes with class!

For too long, we have seen professional athletes acting like thugs and degenerates with domestic abuse, assaults, reckless driving, illegal possession of firearms, dog fighting, baby mama drama, showboating, and taking a knee. These are men we don’t want our sons to look up to. Thank God for hockey. Recently Washington Capital superstar Alex Ovechkin passed Wayne Gretzky’s record with the most goals. Gretzky was attending the games when Ovechkin tied the record and broke the record. Gretzky made it a point to be there when his record was tied and then beaten. In 1991 when Gretzky broke Gordie Howe’s record, not only was Howe there, but his wife Coleen was also there with Gretzky to celebrate his achievement. Gretzky has so much respect for Howe, that he wore number 9 on his suit coat!

And for Ovechkin’s accomplishment it was truly a family affair. Ovi had his wife, kids, mother and father-in-law on the ice. The Great One was also on the ice with his wife. Jennifer Jones presented Mrs. Ovechkin with a gift as Mrs. Howe did the same thing in 1991. Gretzky also had two of his sons at the game to watch their father’s record fall. And at the ceremony in Long Island, one of the first things Ovi did was to bow in Gretzky’s direction to give respect. During the speech, Ovechkin thanked everyone in the Capitals organization. And I mean everyone! When he did break the record, he said: “We did it!” He said it was a team effort.

With all the egos, showboating and antics, its good to see some class and dignity in professional athletes. Wayne Gretzky and Alex Ovechkin are two athletes I’d be glad my kids looked up to!

Perfection!

For our seventh-year anniversary I wanted to go big! I preempted the intro with another version of the same song from the same band! I listened just the intro four times alone! Then for the picture I picked another awesome picture of our Spokesmodel Danila Rodrigues! Wow! Then the show itself with Walter, Mike and Scoop was also a “banger!”

From of the bottom of my heart I can’t thank the “75 Family” enough for their love and support. This has been the greatest experience ever! And were just getting warmed up!

Car dealers SUCK!

By: Scoop Stanton

I am in the market for a new car. I have financing through my financial institution. I already know what kind of car I want and know the market price! I literally have a blank check to complete the purchase. Fortunately, for myself and everyone else out there, there is so much information on what to know when you walk in the dealership. And like everything else we can literally have a car delivered to our home and have our old car removed!

Then why in the name of God are dealers doing the exact same thing for the longest time! The bait and switch routine, or listing a car for one price, then selling the car for another price! Then there’s the “certified preowned” trick where you see a used car at a reasonable price, then there’s another $2,000 charge on top of the price because its “certified preowned.” And its non-negotiable! I was in this scenario and I said fine, I’ll pay the extra $2,000 but either add $2K to my trade in or take $2K off the car price. No dice. I gave a piece of my mind which embarrassed the former Mrs. Stanton and walked out!

Then there’s Carmax. At the end of fiscal year 2024, Carmax sold 770,000 cars! And Carmax only sells used cars and Carmax is far from the cheapest place to buy used cars. But; you can go from test drive to out the door with a car in as little as an hour! Here’s the pitch. You like the car, here’s the price. Do you want to buy and if so, do you need financing? One would think that the industry would copy Carmax! Nope! They still think its 1962!

Industries come and go due to market forces and technology. We no longer have encyclopedia salesmen, the yellow pages, telephone operators, television repairmen, and video store clerks. Hopefully sooner than later we can add car salesmen. Here’s some videos on what to look out at the car dealership!
