It’s been a mixed reaction being on vacation in Yhanandasis. It’s great to see mom and dad and my brother. It’s great to spend time away from the kids and no work! But the weather has not been cooperating! I did go on my father’s boat once. To clean it! I did some hiking to kill some time and keep in some shape to offset some of the “pops” I’ve been guzzling. Another way to keep myself entertained is to follow the very lovely Danila Rodrigues on instagram! Danila appeared on 75 Radio on July first! She’s on vacation in the Carolina’s having a beautiful time!
One thing I did notice is that there is a serious lack of single females here! In three years my brother went on exactly one date! As beautiful it is here its also God’s Sausage Fest! Holy Shit! When I move up here in the net decade and change, I better have some company, because winters are long up here!
Hopefully I have some good news when I return on the air! Tonight and tomorrow the Stanton Brothers will be on the prowl in the Triangle of Intoxication!
Personally I think this is embarrassing for the band and all the families. There are no original members of the band on this tour! Johnny Van Zant was Ronnie’s little brother but not an original member and Rickey Medlocke was with the band for two years in the early 70’s and later for the reunion tours. Also in 2022 Skynyrd had a farewell tour! And now they returned with everyone else!

While heading up to Yhanundasis, NY I decided to buy some “pops” for my vacation. I decided to buy it in Pennsylvania as it would probably be the cheapest. The store sold up to 15 packs of beer. No 18 or 24 but 15.
I picked up two 15 packs and the clerk said I was only allowed to purchase up to 196 ounces of alcohol at a time! A 15 pack is 180 ounces! I had to make one purchase of a 15 pack, put it in the car, then come back and purchase another 15 pack!
I don’t know why the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania only allows 196 ounces of alcohol per purchase!? It’s none of their business! If I drink 196 ounces and get behind the wheel, then it should their business! This is an infringement of your rights to go about your business. In New York State, to buy a half keg, you need to register it like your car! I’m not kidding. With stupid stuff like this, I want to set up a still and make moonshine!
WBIG “BIG 100” radio presenter Don Geronimo was let go Saturday after an internal review by parent company iHeart Radio.
“After an internal review, Don Geronimo is no longer an employee of WBIG,” President of the Washington DC Region for iHeartMedia, Aaron Hyland said. “We take matters of this nature very seriously and this behavior does not align with our core values.”
His termination comes after both he and Crash Young were barred from broadcasting at Washington Commanders training camp in Ashburn, Virginia Friday morning following comments made during their radio show Thursday.
A large outdoor tent utilized by the radio station Thursday was unoccupied on Friday while the second day of Commanders training camp got underway.
Commanders’ leadership banned iHeartMedia, the parent company of WBIG, from broadcasting on the premises on Friday.
“Hey look, Barbie’s here. Hi, Barbie girl,” Geronimo shouted out to WUSA9’s Sharla McBride, while live on air Thursday as she was walking in to cover the team’s training camp activities. “I’m guessing she’s a cheerleader.”
Later in the broadcast, Geronimo again spotted McBride as she was conducting interviews.
“Oh hey. There’s that chick that you thought .. said tight,” said Geronimo.
“Yah. I screamed tight when she was ..” said Crash before being interrupted.
“I think. I think she’s a sportscaster at Channel 9. Or Channel 7,” said Geronimo.
“Yeah, She’s familiar,” replied Crash.
“I thought she was a cheerleader,” said Geronimo.
In 2022, during the Dan Snyder era, the Washington Commanders signed a three year partnership deal with iHeartMedia which is the parent company of WBIG and several other Washington-area radio stations.
McBride said she was hurt and incredibly offended that after 17 years as a journalist, sexist comments like that discredit her as a professional. She called it inappropriate, unprofessional and embarrassing.
When the new Commanders ownership group, led by Josh Harris, heard about Thursday’s radio comments by the duo, team President Jason Wright was fuming.
“We have worked hard to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected in our workplace, and we took swift action when we learned that an employee of our partner iHeart made sexually disparaging remarks to and about a member of the media while she was broadcasting live from training camp yesterday,” said a Commanders spokesperson in a statement to WUSA9.
SO: A media legend says some immature things about another media personality and now he can no longer feed his family! Don’t look for any other radio people to speak up for Michael Source (Geronimo). They didn’t stand up for Don Imus, Anthony Cumia, or the men on the Bull show in Buffalo. This is why radio is turning into crap! They are too scared to talk about it and to take a stand!
As for us, we will defend free speech. Even the most horrible things said against us! As for sexist, misogynistic behavior on 75, you haven’t seen nothing yet!
