Do we forgive Anheuser-Busch now?

In 2023, Anheuser-Busch rolled out a campaign where transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was endorsing Bud Light beer. The backlash was instant and intense. Not only did people boycott all Anheuser-Bush products, but bars stopped selling AB products. This backlash resulted in a significant drop in sales and stock value. Anheuser-Bush tried to win back customers with tie in with veteran groups with little success.

Then came the Super Bowl! Anheuser-Bush fires the big guns on Super Bowl Sunday. The Super Bowl gave us the Bud Bowl, the Budweiser frogs and the epic September 11th commercial to Ground Zero. This year AB released this commercial.

You have a bald eagle spreading its wings, a Clydesdale horse. two white guys, one of the most iconic songs in history playing in the background and an old guy refusing to admit he’s crying! That’s America! Thanks ABInbev! Oh yeah, Anheuser-Bush is owned by a foreign entity.
