As part of his plan to deal with the homeless, New York’s Strongest came out to an overpass in Queens and cleaned up the area and removed trash after complaints from residents. The police department would move the homeless out of the area. But Hizzonor sends in the Sanitation Department!
New York City as well as the rest of the nation has spent billions on programs to fight homelessness. Guess what? People are still homeless. We understand that people become homeless for a number of reasons and hopefully they are able to get the help that they need. But, there are a number of people who want to live under the stars. Sit around all day and do nothing! And many of these people receive benefits such as SSI, Social Security, and so on.
