I thought the left loved federal employees?!

A representative in Maryland is proposing a law to prevent any ICE agent from becoming a police officer in the state of Maryland if they were hired by ICE starting January 20th, 2025!

“Everywhere I go in my district, folks are asking, what are we going to do about ICE?” said Del. Adrian Boafo of District 23. “There’s only so much the state can do, but you know what I could do? Make sure that those ICE officers never have a job here in the state of Maryland. You want to work for any other industry in Maryland, sure.”

We don’t know where to begin on this one. First, It is totally against the law to discriminate against someone who worked for a federal agency under one president or another. Second; who is going to up the job of police officer? Especially in Baltimore and Boafo’s neighborhood in Prince George’s County. And third: I thought Democrats loved federal employees? During the shutdown, libs had the “I support federal workers” signs in their yards during the shutdown and during the January 6th hearings, we heard one Democrat after another praise the work of law enforcement!
