UTICA — A 36-year-old woman is accused of relieving herself on the carpeting and flooring of a Utica business, causing more than $1,700 in damages, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police said Latoya Jenkins, no address available, urinated and defecated on the floor at a downtown business on May 9. The business was not identified by police. Authorities said the business sustained more than $1,700 in damages and cleaning costs.

Surveillance video from the business identified Jenkins and she was located and taken into custody on Tuesday, June 24, authorities stated.

Jenkins is charged with one count of second-degree mischief, a class D felony, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court.
