Six years!

Six years ago, I was co-hosting Red 42 with Jim Lancia. He didn’t want to do radio anymore and I wanted to remain in radio. I looked at Walter Yurkiw who was featured in the Documentary The Seven Five and appeared on the Political Cesspool and Red 42 as a guest and guest host. Our first show on April 7, 2018, we didn’t didn’t even have the name of the show straight! Our bumpers were from Red 42! 

The guest lists include: conservative pundit Cal Thomas, World Series Champion Lenny Dykstra and YouTube sensations JB Gunner and Lonnel “Blaq Rosebudd” Harris. I asked “Blaq” to host a show once. Not only did he knock it out of the park, but he brought on a guest! We also brought on a few former members of the NYPD (Joe Johnson and Ann Ubelis) ask for “RMP Confessions” about wild stories from back in the day.  We also had YouTube sensation Brandon Tatum come on. And sure enough soon after he appeared on 75 Radio, he is offered a contract on Sinclair Broadcasting. I like to think 75 Radio helped launch his career!

We have done the show at a number of different places. We broadcast at a car race in Tennessee, and a Trump get together where I would meet Ed Huebner. I did the show on my flip phone. It was my first time meeting Ed. We have been good friends ever since. I also did the show from the Trucker protest on Constitution Avenue NW outside the White House, Ed Huebner’s birthday party where a gorgeous supermodel was wondering why one of Ed’s guests (me) was outside talking to himself and of course the epic shows at the home of Luciano De La Torre. His parties rivals the reception we would get when we reach the gates of heaven! More about that later.

As legitimate members of the media, we get media credentials to CPAC, half the time. When I first started going, it was a flip phone. Last year, I was going to broadcast at Radio Row with a vendor offering up real estate. In typical CPAC fashion the wifi was crap, so I went to Siberia and called Sam on my smartphone while hanging my 75 Radio shirt! It looked……shitty. This year, I got credentials! And the wifi worked! But; we didn’t have space on radio row. The first day, I set up my t-shirt and spoke via internet to Liberty Roundtable. The next day Liberty Roundtable we had President Trump’s campaign Press Secretary on air. And I was giving strict marching orders: don’t say anything, don’t do anything and don’t fuck this up! Well we looked legitimate even though we were far, far away!

Our first Marketing Director Mike (The not so sexy intern) Garren got us involved with Topless Outlaw Racing Series! Mike Robinette couldn’t been any nicer! And Mike and Walter were treated like rock stars! We even sponsored a car! And were doing it again this year.

Andrew Giuliani was running for governor. I love his father. I contacted his campaign to see if we can book Andrew. His Press Secretary agreed and Andrew was a hell of a guest. I had Sean Bergin do the show due to scheduling conflicts. We go Andrew on again when two New York City cops were killed. It was a forum with me, Walter, Sean and Andrew. Eventually I asked the Giuliani campaign if Andrew would be a guest host. And they said yes! Andrew came on to fill in for Walter and killed it! Andrew even brought on dad!

With our fifth anniversary its like the show was launched off a catapult! I invite Charlie LeDuff to come on whenever he wants. He called in on April 1st. It was a show for the ages! I had to keep telling Charlie that Walter was not an ordinary person. LeDuff never heard of “The Seven Five.” Eventually Charlie watched “The Seven Five” and had that “oh shit” moment. He booked Walter on his show for another interview for the ages!

In terms of Giuliani, Andrew got hired on WABC. I really loved his Press Secretary, Heather McBride. I offered to make her part of the family. Despite our shows, and the foolishness on the website, she agreed to join us!

In June, my friend Ed Huebner invited me to his birthday party at a restaurant. I offered to do the show live. He was like: “Uhhhhhhh ok?” The party was off the chain! The show was awesome too and I should of had someone fill in for me as the party was one for the ages! There were a ton of hot women there, including one lady that was gorgeous! I was wondering what was she doing here?

The next week Ed got me into a Forth of July party at the home of Luciano De La Torre. I literally thought I died and went to heaven! I didn’t know what to expect so I booked Mike Rakebrandt to talk about the sub that went down near the Titanic. I also had Charlie LeDuff to come on as insurance in case something went wrong. I had nothing prepared and I didn’t know what to expect. Charlie and Walter were clowning the hell out of me! At the time it was our best show! That hot Brazilian came to the party! Yes! There was something about that lady. But it turned out to be our best show at that time!

Between the Forth of July and Halloween I reached out the hot lady at Ed’s and Luciano’s party. I hit her up on Facebook and she didn’t tell me to pound sand! She had a great sense of humor and was hot as….you know. There was something about her. I came up with a crazy idea. I’m in radio. We do political talk. What about having a spokesmodel on the show!? I reached out to Ms Danila Rodrigues and asked her to be the world’s first radio spokesmodel. She was the only person I though of. And to my complete and utter shock; she said yes!

In October, 2023 God must have answered my prayers. I was one again invited to a Halloween party at the home of Luciano De La Torre. I figured it would be the perfect place to introduce Danila! This was the location of our best show. But; I was worried that Danila would tell me to go pound sand. So I was going to bring Charlie on as the insurance policy. October 28, 2023. I get to the party! God could take lessons from Luciano on how to throw a party! 8pm and no Danila. Uh oh! I had to call into the Political Cesspool for the 19th anniversary show. 8:25 there is our new family member. Holy Shit! I looked like Sarah Connor from “Terminator 2.” She snapped a selfie and I went to do the Cesspool. It wasn’t my best performance.The idea was that me, Walter and Charlie would talk about the shooting in Maine, talk some shit and then bring on the lovely lady! The start of the show, Walter is brilliant. Then LeDuff come on and clown me. Then 10:30 here comes the woman of the (half) hour. The first two minutes great. Then Charlie chimes in and it becomes the greatest car wreck in radio! It was a great show! James Edwards was blowing up my phone. If you look at the pictures, I looked like I wanted to kill someone. Well, it was a great 28 minutes. I thought Danila would run for the hills when Riders on the Storm starts coming on. Well, she had a great time and she’s still with us! This would be our best show.

Three days later we made Talkers Magazine! You thought we won the Super Bowl! The best part that everyone was named. Me, Walter, Danila and Heather!

With now two ladies on 75 Radio, I coined the phrase “First Ladies of Radio.” I have so much love and respect for these women. We brought them on because of their talent, not their gender.

As 2023 was winding down and 2024 was on the horizon, we kept calling Mike Rakebrandt to fill in at a moment’s notice. Mike never said no to us. Walter and I spoke and decided to invite Mike to join the family. We’re going to do it the Liberty News Radio way. Were going to ask him on the air. I call it a “shotgun job offer.” I tried it on the Cesspool with Sean Bergin and Jim Lancia. And both times the bit bombed! And unlike Danila and Heather; no press release, no photos, no preparation! And we offered it to Mike and he accepted it! Poor guy! And in 75 Radio fashion, I put a huge photograph and announcement in all capital letters that Danila was at New York Fashion Week (which had nothing to do with us). And Mike’s announcement was in lower case letters. Same thing with the YouTube archive and podcasts!

February rolls around and its time for CPAC. It was one for the book. Mike had two friends come down; Diane Lewis and Brenda Alvarez. We hung out for the most of the time there. On Saturday I did the show in the ladies’ hotel room! Also; one of Danila’s friends; Alessandra Griffitt was also at CPAC! We also interviewed Donald Trump’s campaign press secretary on Sam’s show. Forget the politicians, the best part was hanging with Diane, Brenda, Alessandra and my other friend Jennifer. And of course I bothered the hell out of Danila about my clothes. Many thanks to her for helping me to look my best. And of course the 75 Radio Spokesmodel was a huge hit at CPAC, and she wasn’t even there!

March rolls around and the Lord blesses me again. This time I’m invited to Luciano’s Saint Patrick’s Day party! It gets better. I’m able to get all five family members on the show. Its no easy task as the five of us live in 5 different states! Unfortunately Heather could only stay for one segment, but I’ll take it. March 16, 2024. The party was a blast! Danila was there too, looking like a million bucks! I bothered the hell out of her because the gang at work was bothering the hell out of me for pictures. Of Danila, not me! Danila also did a quick video for one of my “work wives” who was working that evening. At show time, I lost track of time because I was having the time of my life! First segment and Heather destroys Fani Willis in less than five minutes! Mike talks about the FDNY still going after firefighters booing the New York Attorney General. The halfway point I bring out Danila. I talk about Saint Patrick’s Day and joke about me getting drunk and acting a fool. Then here comes Walter, He asks if I painted my nipples green! I said that I thought we weren’t going to talk about that on the air. Then it’s Danila’s turn. She said that I was showing my green nipples to everyone at the party! She kept mentioning my green nipples throughout the rest of the show! Again; another show at Luciano’s house and another epic show. I don’t know why and do not care.

The next year we are flying faster and gaining altitude. We have a nation falling apart, A former president with criminal indictments and a presidential election. We also have The Political Cesspool’s 20th anniversary coming up and hopefully a party or two at Luciano’s.

I always say that things happen for a reason. If you told me in 1997 that I was going to do a radio show with one of the cops involved with the 75th Precinct scandal and I was going interview Michael Dowd twice, I would have said you were out of your cotton picking mind! To me this show is more than talking on the airwaves. This is family. The people are more important than the show. Much love to Walter who is the backbone of 75 Radio. Our very first conversation was more about me, not him or the job or the movie. Also thank you Heather for letting Andrew on the show and being a part of us! Your talent is second to none. Thank you to Mike Rakebrandt who is a soldier and never says no to us. And a special thank you to Danila. You are so much more than a spokesmodel to the show. Your also my life coach for everything. Walter and Charlie thank you for bearing that cross! I need to thank Charlie LeDuff for being a part of our most epic show and your friendship. And to Gary Byrne who gave me a book and his friendship at CPAC all those years ago. Unlike Fox News were much more loyal! Special shout out to Mike Garren for all his work behind the scenes. He got us our logo, t-shirts, and involvement with Topless Outlaw Racing! He did so much with no money. Then there is the rest of the radio family. James Edwards who gave me a start in radio, and his blessing for a Political Cesspool spinoff. And I’m still the Washington, DC Correspondent for the Cesspool! Sam Bushman for putting us on his network, Jay and Liz for making us sound so well, Sean Bergin and Jim Lancia for their friendship and help. One of the nicest people on the planet, who lets me in his house to do killer shows. Forget the show, the parties are to die for. The best part of the parties are the people! I’ve’ never met so many awesome people. Especially in DC where it is another planet! Even at the birthday parties out in town. Head table or the “kids table” it doesn’t matter as the people were all second to none!

And most importantly; the fans! We got some die hard fans that love us and we love you! We do this for you! You are just as much as part of the show! We can’t thank you enough!
