A legacy in ashes!

Well, we all heard the sick actions of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. McMahon was responsible for revolutionizing the wrestling industry. Wresting was based on territories, like a franchise. McMahon made professional wrestling an international phenomenon. McMahon also revolutionized CCTV, pay per views and merchandising. McMahon also put his wrestlers in other forms of entertainment making people like Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea, Dwane “The Rock” Johnson and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin household names. Jesse Ventura became the governor of Minnesota! And the WWE became a billion dollar company publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange! But like Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby and Jeffrey Epstein, when you have unlimited money and power, one loses total humanity. And the half a century work McMahon has done will be erased and his actions with his victims will be remembered forever.

Personally; I think this couldn’t happen to a nicer person! Vince McMahon has a reputation for being a total piece of shit! He has a history of NDA’s (Non-Disclosure Agreements) with multiple  women. But forget the women for a second. McMahon has a reputation for reneging on contracts with other promoters. He would agree on a price for something, and then stop the payments to the other promoters! McMahon revolutionized the professional wrestling industry. But he did not revolutionize how he treated the talent. Wrestlers are considered independent contractors and do not have a health insurance or a retirement plan. They may be independent contractors, but they cannot wrestle for other promotions! Wrestlers have to arrange their own transportation, lodging, meals and have to pay for their own medical expenses.  Professional wrestlers spend an average 300 days on the road. Why? If you don’t wrestle, you don’t get paid. And these men and women absolutely punish their bodies night after night. So you have boredom, time away from home, aches and pains, a need to maintain a grueling schedule, and maintain a godlike physique, these wrestlers unfortunately turn to alcohol, narcotics, painkillers and steroids. And eventually these wrestlers burn out with the exception of a very few. Look at Joan “Chyna” Lauer; dead at 46, Andrew “Test” Martin; dead at 33, Eddie Guerrero; dead at 38, Edward “Umaga” Fatu; dead at 36. All former WWE wrestlers. Then there is the Hart family. Bret Hart was leaving the WWF/E for another company. He made McMahon lots of money and carried the company on his shoulders. He asked McMahon not to lose the belt in his native Canada. And of course McMahon had Hart lose his last match in Canada! This was known as the “Montreal Screwjob.” Unfortunately, Hart’s brother Owen lost his life working for McMahon from a stunt that went wrong in Kansas City. McMahon took no responsibility for Hart’s death. Hart’s widow had to take McMahon to court. Then there’s Chris Benoit. Benoit was a tragedy waiting to happen. Years of abuse to his body from constant wrestling and self medication. And of course nothing was done to ensure the welfare of the talent. Those who do make it to the age of 50 are mostly broke and broken down. Decades ago Jesse Ventura was talking about a labor union for wrestlers. That idea was derailed by Hulk Hogan who snitched to McMahon. My theory is that Hogan would lose money.

McMahon has four decades of mistreating women. Including women not employed by him! The worst part of this is that McMahon has been married for over a half a century, has kids and grankids! But; something tells me that Mrs. McMahon put up with her husband’s antics to live in the lap of luxury!
