Long Live Fort Hood!

In 2022, Congress in their infinite wisdom directed the US Army to rename military bases that were named after Confederate war heroes.

This is not a easy task and not cheap. This is at a time the Army is telling soldiers being squeezed by inflation to apply for food stamps!

These installations have a reputation, such as Fort Hood. The Hood name is more recognized to the base as opposed the Confederate General. Just like Camp Pendleton, Fort Knox and Fort Bragg. We’re not talking about Camp Swampy!

As for General John Hood, he was a bad motherfucker! He lost his leg in battle and still remained in service and got promoted!
