This year, CPAC granted me media credentials after denying me media credentials. I’m not going to complain, I’ll take it. The first take away is that CPAC is much smaller than in previous years. In 2020, it was filled to the rafters with speakers and audience members. Not this year. Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence and others declined invitations. Instead they decided to go to a Club for Growth event in Florida. There’s a couple of reasons for the low turnout. First; it’s a non election year. Second; the Club for Growth is wooing the same rich fat cats as CPAC. Third; American Conservative Union head Mat Schlapp has been accused of sexually harassing a man during Hershel Walker’s campaign! Forth: the lowest priced ticked is $295! Another thing missing was all the conservative media. No Sirius XM, no Mark Levin, not a lot of media. Radio row was Radio corner.
The first person I ran into was former Director of ICE Thomas Homan. It turns out he used to go to college near Yhanundasis, NY and knew some of the local hangouts including the Roadkill Grill! Homan said that there was no security at the border and the Biden Administration has done it on purpose. Homan is hoping that Trump wins so he can get his job back. Homan was accompanied by two dudes who look like they’re from Central Casting for the next war movie. And they were both Army. I then went to the WMAL FM table where I met WMAL personality Vince Coglinese. I met Coglinese before at another event. And he could haven’t been nicer! I then saw One America News Dan Ball interview Kim Guilfoyle. Guilfoyle is easy on the eyes, but Ball is the man. I was interrupted by two old people talking about the television station they were starting! I went to the end of Radio Row to talk to Sam Bushman. Sam had 4 guests all lined up like planes on Thanksgiving Sunday! I went back to the WMAL table to meet Chris Plante. He too was super nice and funny.
I saw a huge group of Chinese people talking about the New Federal State of China. There are a group of Chinese Nationals who despise the Chinese Communist Party and is taking the infowar to the CCP. I spoke to a very nice Chinese lady who would eventually put me on camera and interview me! My thing was we are at war with China. They send shipping containers full of Chinese made goods. The US sends them back empty. I also promoted the shit out of 75 Radio! I was hoping she would Feng Feng me, but……….
Some of the other things I saw just on radio row. Donald Trump Jr has a podcast. He had a huge piece of Real Estate on Radio Row. He spoke from about 10 am until 3! And there was a huge crowd at his piece of real estate. I also ran into a Lauren Bobert who is also easy on the eyes. She was in a hurry so her staffer took my card. I also saw Dr. Sebastian Gorka who is really tall. I gave him a card and let him continue wherever he was going. Then there was Mike Lindell! My Pillow is a sponsor on Liberty. James Edwards said to go up and tell him that Sam Bushman said hi. Challenge accepted Mr. Edwards. And accomplished! The thing about Lindell is that he was as popular as a Beatle! It took him 10 minutes to walk 10 feet. And he stopped to take selfies and talk to everyone. I walk, talk give a card and keep it moving!
One thing I did notice is a lot of these “celebrities” are treated like rock stars. They are just people. And most are politicians. If people kiss your ass all day everyday, you will get an ego. Some did. One last thing is that when a person does see a conservative celebrity, they don’t give a shit who is in line or standing in front of them to speak to the star! It happened to me many times. It’s like these people just got off the plane from Branson, MO!
