Back in 1968, Dion released a song called Abraham, Martin and John. It was a sappy song about the murders of 3 icons. One who was killed over 100 years ago!
Fast forward 50 years later and I want to talk about Eric, David and Jon! Three famous dudes who said some things that got themselves in hot water. For no reason!
First is Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was fired because some private emails from years ago to former Washington Redskins GM Bruce Allen where he (rightfully) criticized NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and called out the NFL and the then St Louis Rams for drafting Michael Sam. Sam was the first openly gay draftee in NFL history. I only say draftee as he never played in an official NFL game! Gruden also said that the head of the NFL’ s Players Union had lips big as Michelin Tires! Gruden works for the Las Vegas Raiders, who were once owned by the outspoken Al Davis who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I can only imagine the shocking things he said in private. But Gruden is being crucified for a cruel jokes and strong, not politically correct opinions! His former employer, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers removed him from its Ring of Honor, despite leading the team to its first Super Bowl win. Im sure the week Gruden did win the Super Bowl, he could drop N-Bombs until the cows come home!
Then last Sunday, NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss started to cry about 10 year old emails! Then the “hole” of the group also starts getting pissy eyed, despite the fact, she has nothing to do with Moss, Gruden, Allen or being black! If these assholes want to cry about something, how about the 13 GI’s who were killed in Afghanistan!
As for Dave Chapelle, Netflix released his latest comedy special. Called The Closer. He said he named his special as his contract with Netflix is over and he’s taking a breather from comedy as he is sick of the cancel culture in comedy. In his last special he goes after the tranny community. They want to be accepted by society but you can’t criticize them what so ever. Needles to say Liberals are panning him, stating he should be pulled off of Netflix. And to my surprise, Netflix will not bend under pressure. And Chappelle tells his critics to Fuck off!
Then there is Eric Clapton. Clapton collaborated with Van Morrison on anti-vaccine songs, played in red states that were not on lockdown, donated money and a van to an anti-vaccine band. This drew the ire of msnbc dude Joy Reid who blasted Clapton on his anti-vaccine stance and his alleged racism because Rolling Stone reported that in the mid 1970’s at a concert Clapton spoke despairingly about blacks. There is no recording nor sources!
Eric Clapton has been in music for almost 60 years. He’s 76 years old, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, been in some of the biggest bands of all times, has millions of dollars, won six Grammy’s and lost a son. In other words, he does not give a fuck what Joy Reid or any pundits have to say!
Eric Clapton will be around for another 100 years! Reid only got her gig because she hates whitey!
