A Boy Outa Brooklyn

As you all know last month I wrecked my car and I asked for help in getting through this difficult time via givesendgo and Paypal @scoopstanton as my insurance won”t cover the total cost of the car and I need to buy a new car AND my daughter needs braces!

Well the first person to send me a check was our good friend Jack Antonio. Jack is a brother and a real man. I had the pleasure to talk to Jack on the phone and wished we were on air. Jack has a wealth of knowledge and experience. I told Jack that he can come on the show whenever he wants. Jack is the type of man who has seen things and done things and doesn’t bullshit. Which reminds me of my father.

Jack also wrote a book on his life which is an amazing read. I read it in 2 days! It’s called Boy Outta Brooklyn available at Amazon.

Sucky assed picture

This book takes you to the stoop in Brooklyn to a murdered girl to acting in the midwest to moving dead bodies in California! Trust me you wont be disappointed. Jack shows us that even the “good old days” wasn’t that good! Put down that self help book or white guilt book and buy a copy of Boy Outta Brooklyn NOW!

  1. Thanks a million for the boost, Scoop. I’ve been so busy with the new house and trying to get Emma into America that I haven’t been posting on my blog or promoting my book.

Bad news on the immigration front. The embassies are so far behind on the visa front due to lockdown and are still using such small staffs that it could be two years before Emma is settled here with a green card. If (and it’s a big if) they allow tourist travel between the US and UK she can come for long visits. But right now the first people in line to be interviewed are scheduled for next March!

I had fun with James at Dixie Republic last weekend. I drank real moonshine with some good old boys who were all open carry. I met some geeky guys who are useless and there were a few overly tattoed biker types but I also met lots of great salt of the earth folk. I met Jack Ryan and he is even worse in person than he is on the air. He looks like an unmade bed with bad teeth and he is totally self-obsessed. And his political commentary is repetitive and trite. He even admitted that he worries that he repeats himself. (Hello?)

Jason Kohne is a great guy. I think he is making a mistake by pushing this neuro-linguistic programming stuff. Ironically enough, it’s a sytem of communication that is impossible to communicate. If he can come back to earth, he will be a great spokesman. He’s intelligent, articulate and likeable.

I felt like I’d known James all my life.

Hope things are going better for you than they are for me. But, don’t despair – we will get through it.

    Best,

    Jack
