The Equalizer was a 1980’s television show on CBS starring Edward Woodward who plays Robert McCall. A James Bond type of character who was former MI-6 or SAS that was part private eye, part bodyguard.

In 2014 Denzel Washington reprized the role on the silver screen. Washington’s McCall is retired CIA. Washingon’s character messes more people up than Bryan Mills from Taken.

Now: the Equalizer comes back on the small screen with Queen Latifah in the role of Robert McCall! We go from a white middle aged English gentleman to a big black bull dyke. Latifah could probably kick Woodward’s and Washington’s ass at the same time! And she has some Batman like skills fighting the bad guy! “N-person” please!

They keep ruining everything. I could accept Denzel in the role as McCall because despite his charm and warm personality, he messes people up on screen really bad. (American Gangster, Training Day, Man on Fire.) But we go from straight WASP male to black ghetto bull dyke. That’s Hollywood. But they don’t care. I predict good ratings out of the gate then either cancellation or movement to Paramount Network, BET or Showtime.

How does this woman still find work? Her rap career ended over 30 years ago and she is still referrers to her self as “Queen.” She was in movies, tv shows, had a talk show, and did make up commercials. We went from Marilyn Monroe to this! No wonder we are doomed! But rumors have been around for years that she is “connected.” And I’m not talking Mafia. The same rumors said that if some actresses want to make it in Hollywood they have go through the “Queen.” There was a video on Youtube where someone in the hip hop industry was naming names and dropping dimes! Of course it was pulled. I doubt it is true but seeing this lady’s (big) body of work, there is some reason this lack of talent keeps getting work!
