30 years of Horseshit radio!

We don’t usually go after other radio shows or personalities unless its warranted. We promote good platforms that are entertaining, informative and is willing to fight with us in the foxhole. Just look at JB Gunner, Blaq Rosebudd and Patrick “Dino” Ryan.

But; for over 30 years this one person was able to get all the way up to the 135 largest market, and stay there. His name is Bill Keeler.

Years ago Keeler was on 94.9 K-Rock in Utica, NY. I would listen to him and he would be ripping off Howard Stern and Scott and Todd on WPLJ in New York. He was able to do this as Stern was not in syndication and there was no internet. Until 1994 when Howard Stern did a pay per view special with a musical number on a toilet. Keeler was called out on the air for ripping off Stern doing a similar bit. Keeler was pissed. His biggest defense was that he hated Howard Stern!

When he went to AM radio he copied Don Imus, thinking the people in Central New York are rubes. What Keeler didn’t realize that 1)people from Central New York moved to New York City. 2) people from New York City moved to Central New York. 3) People had cable tv. Yet, Keeler still had employment. About a year or so ago Bill Keeler was talking about a “scandal” in the local fire department. An officer with 20+ years of service befriended a younger man (over 18 years old) who’s father was also a firefighter. The firefighter kept contacting the young man about setting up some sexual exploits with female partners and a circle jerk of some sort. The young man wanted to become a firefighter but was not hired, and dropped dimes. You thought Keeler was breaking Pizzagate or the Epstein scandal. Keeler went on. The mayor was informed. (trying to implicate the mayor) The mayor referred the matter to the police. The police investigated the matter and determined no crime was committed. Keeler then steps over his own dick on his radio show and says the young man did not get hired for the fire department and spilled the beans! The worst this firefighter did was to use city time and possibly city equipment such as a computer or cell phone to set up his sexual escapades with consenting adults and the firehouse. The man was not a fire department employee and the firefighter had no say in the hiring process. This firefighter has 20+ years of honorable service, literally saving hundreds of lives and running into countless burning buildings, no criminal record, no sexual harassment allegations, and is absolutely loved by the rank and file. Ol’ Billy Boy didn’t put that in. Besides, Keeler doesn’t have the balls to be a fireman.

Keeler does do something I do think  is brilliant. He buys airtime on the local Fox affiliate to carry his show. Countless other shows have done it, but they did not have to pay for it. Well I watched the Christmas spectacular. Cameras were set up everywhere, except at the Keeler house as Bill had covid. We could hear him but not see him. Billy made some Horseshit television too! And some of the musical numbers came from a teacher who did have two cameras set up and the legendary Mark Macri. Macri has been playing the hot Central New York State bar scene for over 30 fucking years!!!!!! Same bars too! I’m not kidding! So much for New York, LA or Nashville.

Keeler was born and raised in Central New York. He still lives in Central New York. That’s fine. But in radio, you strive to be better. Look at Rush Limbaugh, Howard Stern, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage. As for 75 radio, it’s a 3 man show. We bust our asses day in and day out to put the best content on the radio, website and social media. I can’t tell you how many people I spoke too about expanding our show and brand. We already did it sponsoring race cars, racing circuits and race tracks! We do it because we love it and we love you.

Radio today is going somewhere it shouldn’t. We have the AM, FM airwaves, Youtube, podcasts, and satellite. But; its all controlled. It all sounds the same. Nobody is willing to “go there” and say that! Except a very few number of outlets. Including us. The days of pushing the boundries are long gone. Even Youtube will throw you off for speaking the truth. Just ask Jim Lancia.

Go ahead and listen to Keeler. Tell him that we trashed him. I don’t care. We don’t want a radio war. Wer’e much better than that. Listen and watch him, be disappointed and come back home to 75 Radio!
