15 years ago, after reading Jared Taylor’s Paved with Good Intentions, I wanted to do more research on Taylor. His book confirmed everything I believed. He had a link to the Council of Conservative Citizens where I saw a link to “The Political Cesspool.” “Oh I got to click this link” I screamed. Then it was like Neo taking the red pill. I emailed James saying I liked his show and he emailed me back. I thought wow! I was living overseas and I decided to call in at 2am. He took the call and I was all nervous and unprepared and stuttered (some things never change) but was like a kid at Disney World. Then I decided to go for it. I asked to be the Official European Correspondent for the Political Cesspool. Now mind you James didn’t know me from Adam. I could have been a plant from the SPLC or ADL, but he took a chance and my radio career started.
The Political Cesspool has done so much with so little it would take forever to talk about and I can’t just do a top 10 list anymore. There’s just too much stuff. I’ll just try to give you a timeline. As the Political Cesspool Started out at 1300 WLRM, they were in a bean field in a studio that looked like a set for Breaking Bad. One show was cancelled because a snake got into the console and shorted it out, frying the snake. I visited the “palatial and tastefully decorated” WLRM studio’s in 2007. I had to make a rush to the bathroom in the middle of the show and James sent the Eddie “The Bombadier” Miller to the bathroom in case it was an unwanted guest. I finally met James and Eddie face to face in a radio studio that also doubles as a meth lab and almost get popped. My reaction: “I’m home.”
Since then we attended Obama and McCain campaign rallies promoting TPC and Ron Paul. James has been on CNN three times before they went full batshit crazy. Eddie Miller had been ejected from only two venues. We became syndicated with various networks until finding our home in Utah with Liberty News Radio Network. James also spoke at the very prestigious National Press Club in DC. At a wall James and I saw pictures of Nelson Mendela and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Well, we thought it was prestigious. In 2014 we went into overdrive by getting guests that wouldn’t usually come on a show like ours: Radio Legend Anthony Cumia, New York Times best selling author, Pulitzer prize winning reporter and Fox News personality Charlie LeDuff and News 12 reporter Sean Bergin who made international headlines talking about cop killers and the lack of fathers in the inner city! We also attended CPAC as credentialed members of the media. And the left shit themselves. We exposed CPAC for what it really is: a Beltway insider neo-con convention. With CPAC we have a love hate relationship with them. Every other year I get creds and other times I don’t! Remember one year CPAC told one Republican presidential frontrunner that he could only appear at 8 am on a Saturday morning! When most of the CPACers were still nursing hangovers! That year the candidate did poorly in the straw poll. That poor man from Queens is up for reelection in less than a month.
This radio show also has the uncanny ability to not only report news as its happening, but we reported news events before they happened! Not predict, report! On Saturday December 20 we spent an hour talking about the murder of two New York Police Officers, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos. We said that there was now a war on cops. Unfortunately we were right. We also broke the acquittal of George Zimmerman on air and our man Matt the Copperhead was in Ferguson before mainstream media landed at the airport. We were saying that straight white men are looked at as the scourge of America for years. Then Charlie LeDuff did a report on the same subject years later. His report had TPC written all over it, but we got no credit.
2015 was almost the breaking point for TPC. Dylan Roof went into God’s house and murdered 9 people because of their skin color. Roof cited the Council of Conservative Citizens as his manifest. And James Edwards was on the Board of the CofCC and since he was the most visible member, everyone was harassing him. He was getting more death threats than usual. Now it was serious. The media was all over James and even the feds were paying him a visit. Problem was James, the Council and anyone who ever had anything to do with TPC knew nothing of this dude! And the Council, TPC never, ever advocated harm to anyone. The next show everyone was wishing Roof a speedy execution. Except me. I said I hoped he didn’t get the chair and hoped he was sent to general population where he could talk about race relations and systematic racism with African Americans who are mentally unstable and unfit for society. We were way ahead of the curve when Trump announced his run for President. We were on board as soon he came down that escalator! I shit you not!
Its been a love-hate relationship with Trump. We attended his rallies. James and Sam attended the GOP convention in Cleveland in 2016. We attended his raucous rally in Millington with TPC staffers and fans spread about. James was also able to get a seat at the inauguration! Hell, James and Sam Bushman even interviewed Donald Trump Jr together. Then the news broke; “White Supremacist interviews Trump’s son; Donald Trump white supremacist!” Sam and James explained to the Trump people who we are and who we are not. So when James or Sam explained the situation (I can’t remember who explained what) I literally texted James “Are we fighting with the Trump’s?” I was ready. I had no problem with the no money having scattered crew fighting a multi billion dollar empire. Its what we do to quote Bill Bratton.
Then on election night in 2016 we hosted “The Political Roundtable.” 4 hours of commercial free coverage. The lineup included Sam, James (who was doing this and Red Ice Radio), Sean, Jim, me, and unlimited guests. Sam and Sean both said Trump was going to win! I was at GOP HQ at midnight trying to get a story. I fell asleep and woke up and saw Donald Trump had won!
Some of the best shows include: TPC being denounced by a Congressional Committee. Our ol’ buddy former Pinal County AZ Sheriff Paul Babeau (more about him later) was testifying on Capitol Hill about something or other and TPC got denounced. James and Eddie were passionate and at times teary eyed. Then I added my commentary. And we STILL were not done! The icing on the cake was Sean Bergin! The Rolling Stones just did a concert, now here’s Led Zeppelin! We has such a good show already, why not make it better!? Another memorable show was about the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando Florida. Sean Bergin and Jim Lancia spent an hour telling us what really happened and who did it, and why it became ignored. Since it was a Muslim fanatic the media had to downplay this horrendous act, they ignored it altogether. Despite our differences with the homosexual agenda, we reported it because we believe people have the right to be who they are and associate with whomever they want. Another one of our epic shows was in August 2017 when Eddie Miller and I went to Charlottesville. I was supposed to meet up with Eddie, have dinner, a couple of drinks and file a report. But we weren’t expecting all hell to break loose. Eddie was in the thick of things. I came after the aftermath. We never met up. That show could have gone on for hours. That’s when I came up with the idea of “the 4th hour.” The show before inauguration day featured the brightest minds on LNR: Sam and Sean. James knew it was going to be one for the books and let them do their thing! One of our best shows was one show we wished we did not want to do. Our tribute to Bill Rolen. Bill was the rock of the Political Cesspool. Bill did not let anyone know he was sick. Sam Bushman put it all prospective with my teary eyed colleagues when he said: “Bill is with Christ.”
Another part of the Cesspool that nobody notices is that there are not one but TWO TPC spinoff shows. A spinoff is a television show starring characters from another show such as The Ropers, Fraiser, The Jefferson’s, The Simpson’s. Well radio has very very few spinoff shows. TPC has two! 75 Radio and Blood River Radio.
One of the best part of The Political Cesspool is the people of the Political Cesspool! I look at TPC as family. And to be part of the TPC family, you have to have your shit together and prove yourself. Art Frith retired US Navy, Eddie “The Bombardier” Miller US Army veteran, Jack Ryan, US Army veteran, Winston Smith, US Navy veteran, Sean Bergin, US Navy veteran, Jim Lancia, retired Police Officer, me, US Navy veteran and former Police Officer. And there is the family at 75 Radio. Walter Yurkiw, former police officer and Big Mike Garren, 75 Radio’s not so sexy intern was a former police officer and EMT. And James Edwards……is a frequent visitor to Disney World! And one thing about our family is that we keep growing, and very few people leave. Eddie and Winston has been with TPC since its infancy. I just asked to be a European correspondent, and stuck around. That was over 15 years ago. We have been with Sam Bushman and the Liberty News Radio for a decade. Then came Sean Bergin, then Jim Lancia. Now Jack Ryan. As for me, I loved the movie The Seven Five so much and Walter Yurkiw is the only one who answered me on Twitter! We had him on twice and I needed a partner on my show as Jim Lancia “left to pursue other ventures” (he got bored). So Walter is now on 75 Radio. And now Mike Garren is the Scoop Stanton of 75 Radio. And Mike Garren has his own rock show on tunedinradio.us. Download the app and listen to him in the morning 7 to 9 am Eastern. Sean came to us in 2014 when he made international news on his report on murdered Jersey City Police Officer Melvin Santiago. Bergin said that the reason that there is such disrespect for law enforcement in the inner city is because of a lack of fathers. And Sean did not cuck and apologize! Then the poor bastard replied to me on Facebook. Then he came on our show, twice. Then he really stuck it to himself and agreed to be part of the Political Cesspool! Then he came on 75 Radio and blew it up! As for Jim Lancia, he contacted James asking to come on. James had me “screen” Jim make sure he wouldn’t be a flop. Well after a few appearances I told Baby Boy that we need him on board! Not only did he join TPC but he co-hosted with me on our Show Red 42, TPC’s first spin off. After he left he came on 75 Radio to co host. Jim has some stuff he’s working on so he will be back with a vengeance! As for my part of the house, Mike Garren was a huge fan of The Seven Five, so we brought him along. Since then 75 Radio has sponsored a racing series, a race track and a race car for almost zero money! Thanks for nothing, Mike!
We also do things as a family off the air. While James was going through all sorts of shit for Dylan Roof, he was actually concerned for Sean. We were hoping that Sean would get that high paying gig that he so deserves. James and I told Sean with all the shit going down, we would understand if he took a break and laid low. We don’t want to fuck up his chances. His reply: “Well this Irishman says if they want a fight, BRING IT ON MOTHERFUCKER!” (really). Sean also came on the air and told us that we are at war and he is not leaving the foxhole. And he hasn’t! Poor Bastard. Jim Lancia has a book called Downtown White Police which is a real page turner. Both James’ worked out a deal that if listeners donated to TPC you would get a copy of Downtown White Police. Everybody won on that one.
One day Sean told me that he was going to a podcast on an internet station on Long Island. I informed James and Sam. You know radio is a dirty competitive, cutthroat back stabbing business. So you know what Liberty Roundtable, TPC and Red 42 do? We promoted the SHIT out of his show! We were shouting it from the rooftops! When he started I called in and was a mess as I was at work and didn’t know what the subject matter was! It was shitty radio. Then Sam and James came onas guests! Sean introduced James as his good friend. Later Sean told me that he was getting flooded with emails some as far away as California. He asked me if TPC had that much reach. I said yes! Sean eventually left as it wasn’t worth his time and they weren’t as professional as LNR! This is my fondest moment of TPC. Our brother said he’s doing a podcast somewhere else and not only do we give him our blessing but we do everything humanly possible to make sure he succeeds. We did it without question or discussion.
As for me, I wanted to do something a little bit different. With my new working hours I was contributing less and less to TPC. I also wanted to start the 4th hour of TPC for things like Charlottesville. My idea was to give James my time in case he needed it. I went to James to get his blessing. I did it out of respect for James. Needless to say James and Sam did some of the best bumpers and voiceovers heard anywhere. I can’t thank James enough for helping me achieve my dream. Despite hosting. My own syndicated radio show, I am STILL the Washington DC Correspondent for TPC. When Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg died, Snowflakes from all over went to the Supreme Court. I was there too. With a Confederate Flag bandana! And I gave a live report on air. Later James and I were texting back and forth about something. I said that I was still the DC Correspondent for TPC. He replied. Damn right!
There are other colorful stories behind the show that we will only share at funerals or that will come to the grave with us. Things happen for a reason. How does two dudes in Memphis with a little radio show end up with staffers in Maine, New York, DC, and Eastern Tennessee syndicated in Utah? Some of us made international headlines and were in major motion pictures. Some of us have still never met face to face! This show has some of the world’s movers and shakers, and is heard by people from all over the world! The show made headlines in MSM and was even featured on CNN! Despite all the accomplishments, trials and bumps in the road, the only place to go is up!
And now: Paul. Years ago, Eddie Miller came in contact with Pinal County Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeau. Babeau was an outspoken critic of the illegal alien onslaught. Eddie told Babeau about us and everyone that comes on more or less gets doxed (except our black guests for some reason). Eddie told us what were all about. Babeau was all in! The show went off without a hitch! Sheriff Babeau even invited Eddie Miller down for a ride along! Then some liberal fishwrap in Arizona found out and gave our new friend the business. Then Paul did the cucking two step saying his PIO set up the interview. Eddie begged to differ. He said he talked to the Sheriff personally and was offereing to produce the phonre records to prove we spoke to him directly! And we got thrown under the bus, again! We seen all the different buses: New Flyer, Vanhool, Orion, International, we seen the undercarriage of them all! Then the real news breaks. It turns out that Paulie was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a youngster at a group home in Massachusetts. He then moved to Arizona became Sheriff and despite his anti immigrant stance, decided to start an intimate relationship with an illegal immigrant named Jose Orosco!!!!!!!!! We couldn’t make this shit up! Needless to say when the news broke, James asked Eddie what might have been if he went down to Pinal County! Again, we couldn’t make this shit up!
The Political Cesspool is made up of some of the greatest people I ever met. I had the greatest times of my life thanks to The Political Cesspool. If LNR, TPC and 75 Radio went away tomorrow I would still remain in close contact. I would have to. The’re family.
