The NYPD is losing cops in droves. Filings for retirement are up 400%! Plus a number of cops are simply leaving the job. I don’t blame them. Why stay at a department when:
- The mayor hates you.
- The city council hates you.
- The media hates you.
- The District Attorney’s hates you.
- The public hates you.
- Your bosses hate you.
- Your department will be defunded by 25%
- The job will not back you up.
- Everything you do will be looked at like a criminal case.
Add to the fact that anti crime units has been disbanded, courts are letting the mopes out, and crime is out of control and you would want to leave too.
