Truckin’

For over 10 days, Constitution Ave has become a Truck Stop. Not because they need gas, food or a shower, but to have the government do something about the predatory Brokers. These truckers are owner operators or independent truckers. They don’t work for JB Hunt, USA Truck, England, Millis Transfer, or other company. They work for themselves. Unfortunately these poor truckers have to go through a broker or middle man to get a load. Company A has a load to company B. A broker gets the driver to move the load and he gets his cut. The broker get his cut for doing next to nothing, and many of these truckers are moving products at a loss. If you protest you are blacklisted. And you don’t work.

Besides, the brokers, the truckers are protesting safety regulations, and other things that take money out of their pocket. I cant believe that the Metropolitan Police Department and United States Secret Service allow these truckers to park in Downtown DC.

I went to Constitution Ave and see what’s going on. I met the nicest people that this nation has to offer. I told them who I was and they opened up. They even offered me food, Twice! I bonded immediately. Fortunately there was a place to take care of personal needs including toilets and showers and food. There were people from all walks of life. Lots of immigrants who want to work, not sit on their ass.

What I didn’t see is people rioting, screaming, trash, poop, or the other things you see at leftists gatherings. These were responsible people.

Another thing I didn’t see is the news media. Since these people are not asking for a handout, they are not a protected class. I also didn’t see the moveon.org rent a mob, or the communists, or other leftists take up a cause as these people wanted to work, not a handout. Again it doesn’t fit the leftists story.

This Saurday, May 16 I will be on Constitution Ave reporting live! Again, we do the job the media doesn’t do.
