The Political Cesspool celebrates 15!

Things happen for a reason.

Ever since I was in high school in the late 1980’s, I always wanted to be in radio when my father introduced me to Rush Limbaugh when he was first starting out and was actually funny and entertaining and not the pompous GOP waterboy. I also got to watch Howard Stern on WOR television on the weekends for a while. I was hooked.

Later in life I came across personalities such as Bob Grant, Jay Diamond, Curtis Sliwa, Opie and Anthony, Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage. I also saw a number of imitators, phonies, and people who got too big for their britches. People like Howard Stern preached free speech and the First Amendment, but only for himself. Rush Limbaugh talked about his private jet, his gold-plated microphone, and all the A-List celebrities he played golf with. Limbaugh preaches family values yet has been married multiple times, has no children and hired Elton John to sing at one of his weddings.

Then in 2006, after reading Jared Taylor’s Paved with good intentions (which I call my awakening) I decided to do some more research on Mr. Taylor. Amren had links to the Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) which had other links including The Political Cesspool. I couldn’t pass up a link to something called The Political Cesspool. It was a radio show. I thought “WOW!” This a show that talked about the things nobody and I mean nobody will touch.

I emailed James and told him I liked his show and he replied back thanking me. We then emailed each other back and forth establishing a rapport. I was living overseas at this time.  One early morning I called in live. This was at 2am my time. I had a blast. I then saw my opportunity. I asked to be The Political Cesspool Correspondent. Mr Edwards, never met me, only communicated via email and calling in didn’t know me from Adam. But he took a chance and anointed me the Official Political Cesspool European Correspondent! James Edwards allowed my dream to come true and be on the radio! I saw the talent and potential and was in for the long haul.

Over the years James has given me Carte Blanche to represent him and the Cesspool as he trusts my judgement. And what a mistake on his part. I have been to Obama and McCain rallies where I had to stare down angry voters, get cut off Andrew Wilkow’s show, after visiting a burned-out Baltimore in 2015, visiting CPAC as a credentialed member of the media and get denied credentials, and book some memorable guests; Dr. James David Manning and Anthony Cumia.

Besides working on one of the greatest radio shows known to man, I also got an education that every American should have. I learned that Lincoln invaded the South and the reason for succession was states’ rights, not slavery. President Lincoln also treated the Constitution like toilet paper by jailing reporters and suspending habeas corpus. I also learned that Zionists are attempting to overthrow this country with their ideas of third world mass immigration, homosexuality, and teaching socialism and communism, political correctness among other bad ideas while keeping their homeland as pure as the driven snow. also learned that the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of Southern pride and tradition. Not what the left tells me; worshiped by a bunch of toothless hicks looking to kill black people and wave at KKK and Neo Nazi rallies.  I also learned that Israel attacked the USS Liberty. A surveillance ship with limited weapons. I learned this on the Political Cesspool, not in the Navy despite serving for 8 years. For those who say I’m Anti-Semetic, I look at the fact that Israel attacked a warship and with the help of LBJ and the media, it was covered up!

With so many things happening and my schedule at my real job changing, I thought it was time to expand the Cesspool. I came up with the idea to add an hour after the Cesspool. If there was a breaking story like Charlottesville or a big TPC function, we would have the time to bring all people to the microphone. I asked James for his blessing for the simple fact he let me in the TPC family. I spoke to Sam and some heavy investment, Red 42 with TPC correspondent Jim Lancia and myself was born. One year later, Jim wanted to pursue other interests (he got bored) and so I asked recent new friend and recent TPC guest Walter Yurkiw to come on board and Walter got the radio bug, so Red 42 morphed into 75 Radio. Jim Lancia even came on as a guest co host last year. 75 Radio has took off like a rocket!

The best part of TPC is the people I met along the way. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for these men.  James Edwards, Eddie “The Bombardier” Miller, Winston Smith, and the late Bill Rolen, and Sam Bushman. Even after my arrival, we keep getting bigger. People just don’t go away here! I’m talking Matt “The Copperhead” Sean Bergin, and Jim Lancia. On a whim, I contacted media personality and Pulitzer Prize winner Charlie LeDuff, whom I am still in touch with. Then add my current co-host Walter Yurkiw and our not so sexy intern Mike Garren on the 75 Radio side of the house. I consider these people family. They are all brothers to me. Same with the fans with The Political Cesspool and 75 Radio. And we look out for each other. When the fiasco with Dylan Roof put the Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) and The Political Cesspool in the media crosshairs. You thought the CofCC and the Cesspool pressed the trigger. Sean just became a regular on TPC. James and I were hoping that Sean would get a full-time gig. Despite what James was going through, he still was looking out for our new brother in arms. I don’t remember if I texted or spoke with Sean. But I told him that it was cool if he wanted to sit out until the heat was off. He replied: “Well if they want a fight, this Irishman says ‘Bring it on motherfucker!’” Then when Sean told us he was going to do his own weekly show on another platform, we did everything to promote the shit out of it include shout it from the rooftops! Sean had James and Sam as guests and I called in just for shits and giggles. Sean later said he was getting a ton of emails, some as far away as California. Why not? He’s that damn good!

These things happen for a reason. You got two guys from Memphis start a little show in a bean field, that got people from Utah, DC, New York, Maine, the Eastern side of Tennessee involved and listeners from all 4 corners of the globe. I can’t explain it, but I’m glad it happened.

Happy Birthday to the Political Cesspool!
