Pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) on Manhattan island. The official word was that Epstein committed suicide. Yeah, right!
Epstein was taken off suicide watch despite already attempting suicide and being a high profile inmate and has the means and resources to attempt an escape. Now, we are being told that the Correction Officer assigned to Epstein’s unit or block was a temporary employee! This person was not trained nor certified nor had the authority for care, custody or control of people! Huh!? And CBS reported that some of the Correctional Officers retained legal council. Huh? The conditions at MCC were so bad that the CO’s had to work up to 60 hours per week. Needles to say the Superintendent of the MCC was reassigned. And we are told the CCTV cameras on the unit may have been not working. And the jail logs may have been bogus.
In any jail in America, everyone, and I mean everyone is checked to see if they have permission to enter a facility. Staff yes. Contractors yes, but only with an escort. Ditto for lawyers, and visitors are segregated. People who do not work at the jail are screened and logged in and out. If you do not have a reason to be at the jail, you do not go in.
So, MCC has one of the most infamous inmates in all of America who knows the world’s most powerful people most darkest secrets. And your going to have someone who has not been trained in care, custody and control of inmates watching him. What could go wrong?
